FDRH is an institutional health care provider. The main purpose of FDRH’s activity, funded by both public and private resources, is providing a complex health care and services related to health care for a patient (client), our priority being improvement of patient’s health condition and quality of life.
FDRH has introduced a certified Quality Management System according to a new EN ISO 9001:2015 European Standard. The subject of the certification consists in providing both primary and specialized inpatient and outpatient care, specialized multidisciplinary care in health centres, organ transplantations including collection of tissues and organs from donors, paraclinic services, pharmaceutical service including the preparation of medicines for individual cases together with the related counselling.
In accordance with the quality policy, the mission of FDRH is “providing a complex health care and services related to health care for a patient (client) using available resources, our priority being improvement of patient’s health condition and quality of life.
FDRH offers a complex health care as an endpoint hospital for the catchment area of the Banská Bystrica city, Banská Bystrica Self-Governing region and for the entire Slovak Republic.”
FDRH’s vision is defined as follows:
- The hospital providing a complex health care in all fields of medical specialization in accordance with the Deed of Foundation. The hospital treating every patient like a complex human being with their own clear expectations from both the hospital in general and especially from the medical personnel on professional, moral and ethical level.
- The hospital funded by the available resources in an effective way, respecting recent contemporary methods for providing health care with particular focus on science, research and education of employees who are aware of their responsibility for their hospital and are willing to comply with the applicable responsibilities.
- The hospital working actively on fostering relations with both internal and external environment.
FDRH sets its goals according to the Quality Management System. The goals are based on its mission and vision. As its strategic goal, FDRH has set “the medically efficient provision of health care by means of material and technical equipment in line with trends and economic opportunities and by giving work to quality employees, with emphasis on undergraduate and postgraduate education in an environment of functioning processes, with focus on economical management of public resources”.
